This is a book of poems, journal entries, and essays written by Ben Barnes between September 2021 and August 2022. It began as a blog. It reads better as a book, so that is how it is arranged here — four chapters, 119 pages, in the order they were written.
59 of these pages carry a date and the album that was playing when they were written. They were kept that way on purpose: the music is part of the record, not decoration. Where a page opened with an album, you will find it at the top.
Nothing here has been rewritten. Every word, line break, and stanza is exactly as it was first published — only the typography has changed.
