Stuck in My Mind

You say that you love me

You hug me, you touch me

But really what I couldn’t see

Was the other thing

See you say you are loyal to me

But really you could be acting like your totally free

To Anybody (anybody—)

That’s different than me

But hey don’t worry

There’s no need to hurry

Because currently you seem to be lying

Cmon you just keep on trying

To tell me that you care

what about the flare

You have in your eyes

For all of those guys

And you secretly try

To get them to freaking comply

Then I get after you, and you sit there and cry

Telling me you weren’t really trying and sigh

But don’t worry I give you empathy

Because I know without you I’d be empty

It’s so sad

It’s too bad

You don’t think it’s obvious

Maybe it’s because you’re oblivious

This isn’t us

Maybe I’m just making a fuss

It just sucks

That I give you all of my trust

It’s what I’m interested in instead of all of this lust

You don’t want to see me suspecting you of what we already discussed

Connecting all these pieces

To lead to this big thesis

Are you really loyal

Cause you seem to like to foil

With all our plans

Yet you still grab my hands

And tell me you’re my biggest fan

Listen I’ve been quiet for awhile

And really that usually is my style

And to be honest I’ve had this on my mind

And its so difficult for me to find

Any other way to show you the kind

Of stuff that makes me lose it

And I don’t mean to be rude

And this isn’t just to you

If you love someone the truth is

You really need to prove it

Prove it

If you love someone the truth is

You really need to prove it

A mic drop and a song written directly to someone. Someone who needed to hear it. I was upset and felt unfairly treated, so I wrote this down. Quite an emotional time but after writing it I felt expressed. Everything got better. Writing your emotions is the key to getting over them.

The longest stretch of the book, and the loudest. Most of these carry a date and an album.
